Data, research, and evaluation have historically been utilized to uphold power for some, and oppress others through institutional and systemic racism. As a result, our mission is to leverage strategic data, learning, evaluation, and research as a tool for shifting power to communities most impacted by inequities and furthest from justice. We lead with addressing racism, anti-Blackness, other forms of oppression and the intersections. We aim to catalyze racial equity, racial healing, liberation, and social justice. Our vision is to drive equitable outcomes, and sustainable systems transformation, so that all communities and individuals can thrive.
We utilize our culturally responsive approach to ensure the cultural context and community voice is centered for each engagement. We believe the best strategies and solutions exist within communities of focus. We work to co-create meaningful strategies with and for communities. We strive to humanize quantitative and qualitative data with asset-based approaches so that communities can communicate their own stories in their own words--to build power and agency, celebrate their achievements, learn from their experiences, advocate for themselves, and sustain their success.
